Yahoo! Messenger now censors the links you share

Yahoo Messenger Big Brother censorshipWe’ve all thought it, but never dared think it could be true: what if Microsoft, Yahoo, and AOL actively monitor our instant messenger chats? What if mentions of ‘bomb’ and ‘underage’ are tracked and sent to law enforcement agencies? What if chat providers don’t agree with the things we say, or the links we share, and filter or censor the content of our transmitted messages?

Google Docs presentations slides out of preview, adds import and comment options (video)

The slide-making masses have spoken and Google’s dutifully listened. After launching presentations for Docs as a preview last October, the search giant’s making that editor ready for prime time with a few user-suggested tweaks in tow. In addition to the recently introduced slew of transitions, themes, tables and collaborative options, Mountain View’s now tossing in the ability to make, edit and resolve comments, send email notifications, as well as control read / write privileges for outside users. Navigation and cellular data would be included.

So, let's recap: There's a 10-month window, and a $450 swing in price — never mind that a $250 smartphone is subsidized by a carrier. Gotcha. Thank you, drive through.
